Opportunities for your Organization to Get Involve at the Workshop Events
Workshop Presenters
I am looking for local presenters from non-profit organizations, government agencies, banks and credit unions to volunteer to be a presenter at one or both locations. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Delverne Seaman at delvernes@p4peid.org or call 251-5076 for more information.
Information Booths and Tables
In the front entry way of the high school, in the area where the registration table will be located, space has been set aside for financial education providers, IDA programs, debt reduction agencies and other non-profit organizations to set up information tables at no charge. There will be a fee for banks and credit unions to set up a booth, $200.00 for both events or $125.00 for one event. Tables will be provided. At this time, space is limited to 14 information tables so contact Delverne Seaman at delvernes@p4peid.org or call 251-5076 to reserve a spot. The refreshment table with coffee, orange juice, pastry and fruits will be set up here, too.
To sign up for a table, download the application in PDF format here.
Account Sponsorships Program for Non-Account Holders
Partners for Prosperity is hoping to sign up 200 non-account holder (100 people at each workshop location) to open a savings account. We are seeking to partner with several local banks and credit unions to sponsor between 5 to 25 participants to open a savings account.
The conditions are that:
· The participant does not currently have a savings account with any bank or credit union,
· will have to attend 3 breakout sessions
· Only sign up with a bank or credit union participating in the sponsorship program
· The account remains open for 45 days and has a minimum balance of $25.00 prior to Partners for Prosperity depositing the additional $25.00.
The purpose of the sponsorship program is to educate and encourage non-account holders to use their account to sign-up for direct deposit such as paycheck, social security payments, disability or veterans benefits, tax refunds, or tribal per capita payments.
For more information, contact Delverne Seaman at delvernes@p4peid.org or 251-5076.
NOTICE TO BANKS: For both events, participants will fill out survey forms so the demographic information can be compiled into a report that banks can leverage for Community Reinstatement Act (CRA) credits.
